Scientific Name: Felis pardalis
The Ocelot is a small wild cat native to parts of the Americas. It has a mixture of distinct black streaks and spots all over its body, with irregular circular markings known as "rosettes". Each Ocelot in the wild has a unique pattern of markings, which makes it possible to identify specific individuals. Ocelots may look very similar to other wild cats like the Margay, Oncilla and Jaguar, but they differ in characteristics such as their overall size, tail length, marking patterns and many more traits.
This is an Ocelot shaker charm with intricately hand-painted markings, soft shading of colour all around the charm and gently blushed for extra cuteness. Every wild cat charm is matched with a standing cat-shaped keychain, and a mixture of beads including genuine picture jasper bead, special pearlescent and bronze coloured beads and polished crystal beads. Complete with a matching leopard print mini puff ball. The charms have also been glazed all around the sides for an extra polished feel.
Every wild cat is individually painted with love and care, and like in the wild, not all of them will look exactly the same. I hope this series will ignite your curiosity in wild cats of the world!
